Domains, hosting and email — in your name, not ours

Why this matters

Plenty of small businesses pay a monthly fee for years, then find out the hard way that the domain is registered to their old web designer, the site lives on a platform they have no login for, and the email addresses belong to someone else's account.

At that point the website is not an asset. It is a hostage. Moving costs money, takes weeks, and sometimes loses the email history along with it.

What we set up

• Your domain. Registered to your business, at a registrar you can log in to, with the renewal reminders coming to you.
• DNS you control. The settings that point your address at your site and your mail, in an account with your name on it.
• Hosting. Fast static hosting on Cloudflare for most sites, or a small managed setup where an application needs one. Usually free to a few pounds a month, billed straight to you.
• Business email. [email protected] on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Fastmail — your choice, your account, priced per person by them, not by us.
• Certificates and security. HTTPS, automatic renewal, sensible security headers and spam protection on your mail, all configured and then left working.
• Backups. Of the site and, where there is one, the database — restorable by anyone you hand the keys to.

What it costs

Set-up is part of the build, not an extra. After that you pay the providers directly for what you use: a .co.uk domain is roughly £10–15 a year, hosting for a small site is usually free, and email is around £5–6 per person per month if you want a mailbox at your own domain.

We do not resell any of it, mark it up or hold the card. If you would rather we kept an eye on it all, that is what a care plan is for, from £19 a month — and it is optional.

Taking over what you already have

We do this regularly. We work out what exists and who holds it, transfer the domain into your name, move the site and mail with no gap in service, and write down where everything now lives. If the current supplier is unresponsive, there are still routes — with Nominet, who run .uk domains, a registrant can reclaim a domain that is genuinely theirs.

If you ever leave

You take a login, not a fight. Nothing needs migrating, because nothing was ever in our name: the domain, the hosting, the mailboxes, the code and the data are already yours, and any developer can pick them up.
